Photo Memory Videos
1) Photo Selection
- Black and white photos work as well as color.
- Photos wallet-sized and smaller should be eliminated if at all possible (they do not fill a horizontal TV screen). Photos as large as 8 x 10 are fine. Photos must be removed from albums.
- Photos must be numbered on the back using an indelible marker, such as a Sharpie, or very lightly with ball-point pen.
- Vertical photos will be cropped top and bottom or bordered left and right to fit TV screen.
- Digital photos as well as conventional photos can be used. Photo-to-video transfers from digital photos provided on CD-Rom are done in our non-linear system, and are charged at the prevailing rates for that editing system. Contact us for a quote!
2) Music Selection (We offer two music services)
- Option A: Photos are synchronized to specific pieces of music you provide on CD or select from our list. We do not "get" music for photo jobs. You must either provide it or select from songs we have previously purchased.
- Option B: Music is transferred directly to video from a CD you provide in the order in which the songs are recorded. Photos are transferred at a consistent pace of your choice (usually 4-8 seconds per photo, all at the same speed). The music is faded at the end of the last photo, and no attempt is made to match specific photos to particular songs.
3) Titling
- Home-made titles will result in additional handling charges and do not "count" as photos. If you prefer to do your own hand-lettered or computer-generated title cards, please leave a 2" margin all the way around the image. DO NOT USE WHITE PAPER! Titles must be horizontally formatted. Using borders is not suggested since it is impossible to guarantee they will appear centered on every screen.
- If you prefer that we do your titling for you, we will provide you with high quality, computer-generated graphics at an additional fee.
4) Photo Transfer Pricing

5) Turnaround Times
- Please allow at least three weeks for turn-around! (For winter holiday and end-of-school year projects, allow AT LEAST FIVE WEEKS.) Got a drop-dead deadline? Please phone ahead so we can establish a schedule that works for us both.
